Bio

Greetings,

My name is Tamblyn J. Bohannon, and I am the 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  I am a proud product of the Mobile County School System and graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School. I completed my first year of teaching in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with the Tuscaloosa City Schools as the 7th Grade Collaborative Teacher. During my second year of teaching, I worked for the Conecuh County School System as the 4th-8th grade Intervention/Collaborative teacher. I joined the Mobile County School System and Palmer Pillans family for the 2014-2015 school year. I am excited about being a returning teacher here at Pillans Middle School.

Teaching is a privilege that I take very seriously. My goal is to provide your child with the best research based learning and teaching strategies to ensure they can grasp the Alabama State Standards and Common Core Standards. I will work closely with your child to ensure they are working towards achieving their academic goals. I will continue to instill in your child that they are capable of learning and improving as long as they put fourth the effort. It is my hopes and prayers your child can build on the skills from their current level of educational performance and show great improvement by the end of the 2017-2018 school year. However, it will take the collaborative efforts between your child, you, and myself to make these goals a reality. Working together as a team, we can motivate, encourage, and enhance your child’s learning experience here at Palmer Pillans Middle School.

Frederick Douglas
